Job Description: Cashier – Restaurant (Kerala Cuisine)

Position Title: Restaurant Cashier
Department: Front Office
Reports To: Restaurant Manager/Supervisor
Location: Calicut downtown, Kerala Cuisine , Al Ayn , Abu Dhabi

key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Greet customers and assist with billing and payment, addressing any inquiries.
  • Billing & Payments: Process payments accurately via cash, credit card, and other methods using the POS system.
  • Cash Management: Ensure cash register is balanced and safeguard cash and transaction records.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain daily transaction logs and assist with financial reporting.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with the kitchen and other staff to ensure timely order processing.
  • Cleanliness & Organization: Keep the cashier area neat and organized.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years experience, preferably in a UAE-based restaurant.
  • Fluency in Malayalam is required; English is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Kerala cuisine is an advantage.

Compensation:

  • Salary: From 1400 up to 1800 ( “based on experience”)
