Job Summary:
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the warehouse operations within an automobile manufacturing environment. This role ensures the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of automotive parts, materials, and components while maintaining inventory accuracy, warehouse safety, and cost efficiency. The role requires strong leadership, logistical expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of the UAE market and automobile industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and distributing automotive parts and components.
- Ensure the smooth flow of materials between suppliers, warehouses, and production lines.
- Implement and enforce best practices for warehouse layout, racking systems, and space optimization.
- Inventory Control & Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely availability of parts and materials.
- Implement periodic inventory checks, audits, and reconciliation to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, train, and manage warehouse staff to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations.
- Delegate tasks, set clear performance expectations, and provide regular feedback and support.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement within the warehouse team.
- Logistics & Distribution Coordination:
- Coordinate logistics and transportation for incoming and outgoing shipments of materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost-efficient transportation.
- Ensure proper documentation, including shipping and receiving reports, is maintained accurately.
- Work closely with the production, procurement, and quality teams to address any logistical challenges or delays.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in the warehouse.
- Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to mitigate risk and ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Manage the proper handling and storage of hazardous materials, adhering to relevant safety standards.
- Process Optimization:
- Continuously monitor and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize lead times.
- Implement technology and automation to streamline warehouse operations and improve overall performance.
- Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics vendors to ensure reliable and timely deliveries of materials and parts.
- Resolve issues related to damaged, missing, or incorrect shipments and collaborate with vendors to address any discrepancies.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, operational costs, and other key metrics.
- Maintain proper records of warehouse activities, including inbound and outbound shipments, stock levels, and inventory audits.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with UAE regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records for audits, reporting, and tracking purposes.
