Housekeeping Attendant

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for below tasks and others assigned by thier departments as necessary.

  • Responsible for servicing daily assigned rooms per day under his/her control as per MHI standards.
  • Provide helpful, friendly, prompt and personalized service to the customer (internal or external).
  • All the guest requests must be attended to within 10 minutes.
  • Take complete responsibility for hygiene, maintenance and cleanliness of area under his/her control, to meet Hotel standards.
  • Responsible for keys under his/her control to ensure safety and security of guest’s and Hotel’s property.
  • Check for any room discrepancy as per the SOP.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources under his/her control.
  • Responsible for maintaining records pertaining to the section under his/her control and follow up thereof.
  • Any lost and found items to be deposited at the housekeeping desk on the same day.
  • Provide effective coordination with mini bar team for amenity and in-room services in guest rooms.
  • Responsible for maintaining all equipment, carpets and fixtures of the area under his/her control.
  • Ensure training of their general cleaning team and any other employees assigned to him/her for that purpose.
  • Contribute towards maintaining cohesiveness in the team.
  • Interact with the guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
  • Make sure that all the chemicals are correctly diluted, handled, used and stored appropriately.
  • Take measures to conserve energy, be committed to the environment and eliminate waste.
  • Adhere to the grooming standards of the Hotel.
  • Coordinate with engineering team, butlers, upholsters and tailors so that all the areas are spotless and perfect.
  • Carry out fixed assets and current assets inventory.
  • Attend all the training sessions, whenever assigned.

Job Specifications:

  • Minimum 1 year work experience as a Room Attendant
  • Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and products
  • Good physical health and stamina
  • Flexibility to work in shifts
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Good communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • High school diploma is a plus
