Documentary Style Video Editor

Summary: We are seeking a talented editor with strong documentary storytelling and dynamic social editing skills to join our Editing team. This role will be pivotal in conceptualizing and producing captivating visual content that enhances our brand identity and engages our audience across various platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create well edited, dynamic, trendy, and captivating edits for Huda’s Docuseries on Youtube and Huda’s new Podcast HudaHotline.
  • Must be able to cut down long projects in a way that tells the story well and creates intrigue.
  • Must be have a strong sense of sound design and use it to create engaging content and edits.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing and design teams to brainstorm ideas, storyboard concepts, and execute projects from inception to completion.
  • Stay updated on both editing and beauty industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in editing and motion design to continuously innovate and improve our visual storytelling.
  • Ensure all designs and animations uphold brand standards, are technically sound, and meet project deadlines.
  • Provide creative input and contribute to the overall visual strategy of the company.
  • Understand social media platforms and their video specifications.
  • Strong editing skills and ability to move between motion graphics/3D design to editing simple social videos depending on the team’s needs and workload.

Requirements

  • Experience with creating social cutdowns of podcacts or documentary work is essential.
  • Degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, 3D Design, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in motion graphics, animation, and video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing creative projects.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition.
    Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present and explain ideas to colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in the beauty is a plus.
