Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
- Certifications in Housekeeping Management, Quality Assurance, or Hospitality Standards (e.g., Forbes Travel Guide, LQA – Leading Quality Assurance) are a plus.
- Training in health & safety regulations, hygiene standards, and environmental sustainability in hospitality.
Experience Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in housekeeping operations within a luxury 5-star hotel or resort.
- 2-3 years in a quality assurance, supervisory, or inspection role within the housekeeping department.
- Strong knowledge of luxury service standards, guest expectations, and cleanliness protocols.
- Experience in conducting inspections, auditing housekeeping procedures, and ensuring compliance with brand and Forbes/LQA standards.
- Ability to train housekeeping teams on luxury service excellence and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with housekeeping management software and inventory control systems.
Preferred Skills & Competencies:
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining impeccable housekeeping standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with housekeeping teams and hotel management.
- Ability to identify and address areas of improvement in cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
- Knowledge of VIP guest preferences and luxury room presentation.
- Understanding of sustainability practices in luxury hospitality.
