Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or a related field (preferred but not always required).
  • Certifications in Housekeeping Management, Quality Assurance, or Hospitality Standards (e.g., Forbes Travel Guide, LQA – Leading Quality Assurance) are a plus.
  • Training in health & safety regulations, hygiene standards, and environmental sustainability in hospitality.

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in housekeeping operations within a luxury 5-star hotel or resort.
  • 2-3 years in a quality assurance, supervisory, or inspection role within the housekeeping department.
  • Strong knowledge of luxury service standards, guest expectations, and cleanliness protocols.
  • Experience in conducting inspections, auditing housekeeping procedures, and ensuring compliance with brand and Forbes/LQA standards.
  • Ability to train housekeeping teams on luxury service excellence and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with housekeeping management software and inventory control systems.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining impeccable housekeeping standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with housekeeping teams and hotel management.
  • Ability to identify and address areas of improvement in cleanliness, organization, and presentation.
  • Knowledge of VIP guest preferences and luxury room presentation.
  • Understanding of sustainability practices in luxury hospitality.
