Chef de Partie (CDP)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of a designated section in the kitchen, ensuring food quality and consistency.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications and standards.
- Supervise junior kitchen staff, including commis chefs and kitchen assistants.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
- Manage inventory, ensuring stock levels are maintained and ingredients are fresh.
- Assist in menu development and daily specials as directed by the Head Chef.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a high-paced kitchen.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and presentation.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Passion for food and cooking.
Commis Chef
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking food items.
- Ensure all food is prepared according to recipe standards and food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and work areas.
- Assist in inventory management and storage of food items.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and properly maintained.
- Follow the instructions from the Chef de Partie and contribute to daily operations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary school graduate preferred.
- Strong desire to learn and develop culinary skills.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Kitchen Assistant
Responsibilities:
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and cooking tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Help in receiving and storing deliveries.
- Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are sanitized and ready for use.
- Adhere to health and safety standards in the kitchen.
Requirements:
- No prior experience required, but willingness to learn is essential.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items
