The Fitness Instructor serving Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts brand is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. A fitness instructor typically needs a combination of formal education, certifications and practical experience to be well-prepared for the role. . To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Physical Education, Health & Wellness or equivalent is required.
- Certification in fitness training
- Previous experience in teaching a variety of fitness classes in a luxury or high-end hotel environment.
- Additional certifications in specialized fitness areas (e.g., yoga, Pilates, TRX).
- Multilingual abilities (optional but preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage guests of all fitness levels.
- In-depth knowledge of fitness and wellness trends and practices.
- Ability to design and lead various fitness classes.
- Strong organizational skills, planning skills and attention to detail.
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required.
- Ability to work under pressure
