We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inputting, updating, and maintaining accurate data within our company’s database systems. You will work with various forms of data, including numerical, text-based, and alphanumeric data, ensuring high levels of accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Enter data into company systems accurately and efficiently.
- Review and verify the accuracy of data before entry.
- Update and maintain existing data records.
- Perform data backups and regular updates to ensure data integrity.
- Organize and maintain paper and electronic files.
- Prepare reports and documents as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth data flow.
- Identify and resolve any data discrepancies.
- Follow company data entry guidelines and policies.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing and document management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in data entry or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience in data entry or similar role.
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with data entry software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a data entry role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with database systems and software (e.g., CRM, ERP).
- Basic knowledge of Excel functions and spreadsheet formulas.
