Full job description
Drive company vehicles (buses) to pick or drop employees and do deliveries as may be required.
Operational:
· Operate and maintain assigned vehicle(s); and follow-up with the department as and when required to ensure effective delivery of tasks assigned.
· Provide useful inputs regarding cost saving measures in utilizing and maintenance of office vehicles.
· Operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner; maintain defensive driving.
· Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on trip sheets / logs, vehicle maintenance, fuel vouchers, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from management.
· Responsible for any traffic violation and accidents caused by driver.
· Keep the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside, and must not allow others to drive and operate his assigned vehicle.
· Coordinate the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with management and staff to minimize service interruptions.
· Run errands for the company as directed by superiors and colleagues with the approval of Management.
· Represent the company with a professional manner.
· Use vehicle for official business or use only.
Perform any other duties relevant to the role as assigned by the QPMC Vehicles Officer as per the business requirements.
PROFILE: QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
· Completed at least secondary school.
· Valid Qatari Driving license is required.
· Minimum 2 year of relevant work experience is required.
· Good command of English & Arabic languages.
· Ability to read and interpret road signs in English and Arabic.
· Ability to drive a multi-passenger vehicle safely and appropriately.
Ability to read, understand, and adhere to the Ministry of Interior traffic rules and regulations.
