Key Responsibilities:
– Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections.
– Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
– Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and journal entries.
– Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
– Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
– Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
– Assist in the preparation for audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
– Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial issues and support business operations.
– Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
– Update and maintain petty cash records.
– Update and maintain cheque book records.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
– 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
– Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
– Knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices is a plus.
