Zahr Freighters is currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about numbers, accuracy, and contributing to the financial health of a fast-paced logistics company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliations on a monthly and yearly basis.
• Handle VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
• Monitor cash flow, forecast expenses, and manage budgets.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and support documentation requirements.
• Process payroll and ensure accurate disbursements.
• Maintain financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
• Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting, preferably within the logistics or freight forwarding sector.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
