About the role
A forward-thinking Fintech enterprise leading the charge in revolutionizing payment practices is actively seeking a Accountant to join their Finance Team. Responsibilities
- Financial Data Management: Maintain precise and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Transaction Processing: Process financial transactions, including invoices, expense reports, purchase orders, and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Bookkeeping & Tax Compliance: Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping operations, VAT filings, corporate tax submissions, and payroll processes to ensure compliance with local regulatory standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate in the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering relevant financial data, identifying trends, and working with other departments to create accurate financial projections.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and generate reports that provide valuable insights into the company’s financial performance, variances, and key metrics. Present findings to management for informed decision-making.
- Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to financial regulations and guidelines, assisting in the preparation of financial documents for audits and regulatory reporting.
- Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process enhancement within the finance function and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other departments, including accounting, operations, and management, to collect relevant financial information and support the achievement of overall business objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Based in Dubai.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in financial software, such as Sage, and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
