We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, and smart Cashier to join our team and support our Finance and Accounts department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a cashier role preferably in an FMCG or retail environment.
- Knowledge about Ms Excel and ERP Software
- Strong mathematical skills for transaction processing and reconciliation.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Handling: Accurately handle payments received from van sales (cash, checks, and electronic payments) and issue receipts or invoices.
- Record Data: Input data into the company’s financial systems, ensuring all datas are properly documented for reporting and accounting purposes.
- Credit Notes & Returns: Manage any return transactions, issuing credit notes or processing refunds when necessary, and ensure proper documentation is completed.
- Monitor Cash Flow: Keep track of daily cash movements and ensure all payments are accounted for accurately.
- Balance Cash Register: At the end of each shift, reconcile cash, payments, and sales records to ensure that everything aligns with financial reports.
- Manage Petty Cash: Oversee petty cash for the warehouse operations or van sales team, ensuring proper documentation of expenses.
- Financial Documentation: Ensure all receipts, invoices, and payment records are filed properly for easy access and audit purposes.
- Secure Cash and Payments: Ensure all payments are stored securely, and maintain a high level of security when handling cash or other sensitive financial data.
- Adhere to Company Policies: Follow all company protocols, including compliance with accounting standards, safety regulations, and cash-handling policies.
