Job Summary: As a Commis Chef, you will work under the guidance of our senior culinary team to prepare ingredients, assist in cooking, and maintain kitchen hygiene. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced, health-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits, and preparing meats and other proteins.
- Cooking Assistance: Support senior chefs in cooking and assembling dishes according to our health-focused recipes and standards.
- Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all areas meet health and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Assist in receiving deliveries, checking for quality and accuracy, and properly storing ingredients.
- Learning and Development: Continuously develop culinary skills by learning from senior chefs and participating in training opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required; culinary students or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Knowledge of health-focused and dietary-specific cooking is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
