Crewing Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage crewing requirements for offshore vessels and service boats, ensuring timely placement of qualified crew and skippers.
  • Maintain regular communication with local and international crewing agencies to source certified and experienced seafarers.
  • Verify crew qualifications, training, and documentation compliance with STCW, and company standards.
  • Organize and manage crew repatriation, including booking of flights, visa arrangements, accommodation, and local transfers.
  • Monitor crew contracts, medicals, certifications, and rotation schedules to ensure seamless crew changes.
  • Maintain up-to-date crewing databases and records in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with port agents, immigration, and logistics teams to facilitate crew embarkation and disembarkation processes.
  • Assist in planning training programs, inductions, and briefings for new and returning crew.
  • Prepare crewing reports, manpower forecasts, and budget estimates related to crew travel and logistics.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Crewing Officer, preferably in the offshore.
  • Full knowledge of STCW and rules.
  • Strong understanding of visa application processes, flight bookings, and travel logistics. Crew repatriation and MLC rules and updated protocols and conventions.
  • Familiarity with crew positions for offshore vessels and small passenger boats, including skippers and technical crew.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with an ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and crewing management systems (e.g., OCS, COMPAS, or similar).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
