Performance Objectives:
- Oversees the development of the Broking community to an ascribed standard of technical competency
- Provides direction and leadership to the community of brokers within the geography across all lines of business
- Ensures global Broking data strategy is consistently implemented by the Broking community within the geography
- Manages and develops the Broking leadership team in the geography, within the matrix organisation
- Escalation point for all Carrier issues, including escalation management of placement or claims within geography, working with Line of Business Broking Leadership
- Leads the Carrier Management team to enable the execution of Geographic and Regional line of business Broking strategies
- Holds all regulatory licenses, permissions and technical or other requirements applicable under local legislation
- Develop and maintain client relationships as agreed within the region
- Creates a consistency of Broking activities across the Lines of Business within the region
- Champion all global Broking initiatives, such as Broking Transformation, Operational Improvement, Technology Investment and Broking Competency Development Programs
Qualifications
The Requirements
- Professional qualifications such as ACII or similar country equivalent, or relevant industry experience
- Educated to a degree, or MBA level (or country equivalent)
- Extensive knowledge of the insurance market and ability to understand potential conflicts of interest in CRB activity
- Ability to demonstrate evidence of a highly professional and credible approach across the broking market community, resulting in an understanding of client and technical issues and capability to solve
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent leadership skills, with a proven track record of developing people
- Strong facilitation skills – able to use inclusive and collaborative styles to manage ambiguity and gain agreement
