A little taste of your day-to-day

  • Endeavour to resolve all complaints during shift and logs all complaints in log book for further follow up
  • Ensure restaurant operating equipment is clean and in working order
  • Maintainimpeccable uniform and personal presentation standards in accordance with hotel policy
  • Executes cash handling and banking procedures
  • Prepare daily banking and cash flow reports
  • Establish and instruct staff in cash security procedures
  • Supervise the maintenance of service equipment
  • Monitor standards of guest facilities and services
  • Always follow standard telephone etiquette while speaking to guest over phone
  • Greet guests appropriately at their room and provide service upon items ordered
  • Ensure prompt and efficient delivery of food and beverage to the guest’s room
  • Serve orders if needed
  • Conduct regular training sessions with the team in line with the departmental SOP’s and complete accurate reporting and training plans.
  • Ensure that hot food is maintained and delivered hot and all cold items are delivered cold
  • Read and retain all pertinent information regarding daily promotions, food and beverage specials
  • May check back with guest to ensure they are enjoying their meal, and determine if they have any other needs
  • Perform duties of the room service in the absence of supervisor
  • Must be able to anticipate guest or operational needs
  • Ensure room service equipment’s are functioning properly; report any problems to the Room Service Manager
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with the Hotel Standards
  • Control stock and monitor security procedures
  • Supervise colleagues during shifts and functions
  • Supervise outlet section service
  • Perform any reasonable tasks as instructed by Manager

What we need from you

  • Ideally, the incumbent should have 1-2 years of experience in a similar role (specifically IRD) from a luxury property.
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team and in different functions
  • Warm and inviting personality
  • Ability to think calmly under pressure
  • Willingness to learn open-mindedly
  • Passion of food and curiosity for something new
  • Basic organisation skills in restaurant operation
