You’ll be responsible for managing and optimizing the financial operations, reporting, and regulatory compliance for our clients, ensuring you adhere to the specific standards of the DIFC and ADGM jurisdictions.

This role encompasses overseeing daily financial activities, preparing accurate regulatory submissions, and providing critical support for the strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Your New Role

This list of duties is not exhaustive and may change from time to time according to business needs:

Financial Reporting & Accounting

Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Reconcile accounts, including bank statements, intercompany accounts, and other financial transactions
Support internal and external audit process, ensuring timely provision of all required documents
Review payments and accruals
Review of Payroll
Critical review of findings or significant areas in the financial reports – raise questions involving accounting principles, auditing standards, accounting standards, tax regulations and firms polices
Regulatory Compliance

Ensure compliance with DIFC/DFSA and ADGM/FSRA regulations, including the submission of periodic regulatory reports
Regulatory return review and submission of EPRS (DIFC or ADGM
Monitor adherence to the Clients Capital Requirements (CAR)
Maintain accurate records to meet Anit-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) obligations
Risk Management

Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Support development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure process efficiency
Tax & VAT Compliance

Ensure timely filing of VAT returns in compliance with UAE tax regulations
Monitor any changes in tax laws applicable to DIFC and ADGM entities and update processes accordingly
Stakeholder Management

Liaise with DIFC/ADGM regulatory bodies as required
Coordinate with internal teams, external auditors, and outsourced services providers to ensure seamless financial operations
Prepare detailed financial projections and models to support license application projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and the business plans of clients
What will you need to succeed in this role?

As to be expected, we are searching for someone who can bring a range of skills and experiences to enhance the team. As such, there are a few essential skills we are looking for:

Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
5+ years relevant experience in accounting and financial management
Prior experience in DIFC/ADGM environment as an Authorised Individual
Familiarity with DFSA and FSRA regulatory frameworks
Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT regulations and local compliance
requirements
Professional qualification (eg, ACCA, CPA,CA) (desirable)
Knowledge of AML/KYC obligations under UAE laws (desirable)
Proficiency in accounting software (desirable)
