Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and charismatic Captain Waiter to lead our fine dining service team. The Captain Waiter is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the dining room operations, ensuring impeccable service standards, and creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fine dining, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional hospitality.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead and supervise the waitstaff team, ensuring adherence to service standards, proper etiquette, and timely execution of tasks.
  • Engage with guests warmly and professionally, addressing inquiries, offering recommendations, and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
  • Oversee table assignments, reservations, and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, allergens, and wine pairings, to confidently answer guest questions and offer suggestions.
  • Handle guest complaints and concerns with diplomacy and tact, ensuring a positive resolution and guest satisfaction.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate waitstaff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor and maintain the smooth flow of service, coordinating with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of dishes and address any potential issues.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for upselling and suggestive selling to enhance the guest experience and maximize revenue.
  • Assist with inventory management, scheduling, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Willing to be deployed to our new branch in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia by Q4 2024
  • Can speak English well, and Arabic (preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a waiter/waitress in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and multitask, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional service.
  • In-depth knowledge of fine dining etiquette, wine and beverage pairings, food safety regulations, and restaurant operations.
