Job Overview

The Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher will deliver engaging, age-appropriate instruction aligned with the American Early Childhood curriculum. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally supportive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and foundational skill development in literacy, numeracy, science, and social understanding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement interactive, play-based lessons that align with early childhood development standards and American curriculum frameworks.
  • Support the development of early literacy, numeracy, inquiry, and fine/gross motor skills.
  • Create a warm, safe, and structured classroom that promotes a love for learning.
  • Use differentiated instruction and formative assessment strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Maintain open and supportive communication with parents regarding student progress and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to support student growth and curriculum enrichment.
  • Maintain documentation of student observations, learning portfolios, and progress reports.
  • Participate actively in school events, parent meetings, and professional development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE/PGDE).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in an early years or KG setting, preferably within an American curriculum school.
  • Strong understanding of child development, early learning standards, and classroom management strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Experience in Dubai or the UAE and familiarity with KHDA expectations are preferred.
  • Valid teaching license.
  • Passionate, enthusiastic, and committed to the growth of young learners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Common Core and NGSS standards for early years.
  • Knowledge of integrating technology and AI tools in early learning environments.
  • Experience with student-centered, inquiry-based approaches to early childhood education.
