Full job description

  • Supports nursing team in providing direct patient care
  • Assists with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
  • Helps with mobility, transfers, and positioning of patients
  • Monitors and records patient vital signs
  • Reports any significant changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team
  • Assists in administering medications under the supervision of a registered nurse
  • Ensures accurate medication administration and documentation
  • Creates and maintains a safe and clean environment for patients
  • Follows infection control protocols
  • Maintains cleanliness of patient rooms and common areas
  • Ensures proper disposal of medical waste
  • Assists patients and their families in coping with illness or injury
  • Offers emotional support and actively listens to patients’ concerns
  • Provides comfort during difficult times
  • Responsible for accurate and timely documentation of patient information
  • Documents vital signs, medication administration, patient’s response to treatment, and changes in their condition
  • Works collaboratively with registered nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
  • Actively participates in patient care planning
  • Contributes to interdisciplinary meetings and discussions
